Dr. David Clifford
Dave grew up in Saint John East and graduated from Saint John High School in 1988. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from UNB Saint John in 1992 and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1997 from Dalhousie University.
Dave provides quality dentistry in a relaxed environment with a wide range of dental services with customized treatment plans to meet individual patient needs.
His children are Simon and Abby and he enjoys coaching, playing hockey and salmon fishing.
Dr. Katelyn Brodersen
Dr. Kate Brodersen earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Brunswick in Saint John in 2008, majoring in biology and psychology. She attended Dalhousie University and graduated in 2014 with her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Born and raised in Rothesay, New Brunswick, Kate is very excited to be practicing dentistry in her community.
Dr. Brodersen is a member of the New Brunswick Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association and the East Coast Endodontics study club. Kate is keen about keeping current with the latest advances in dentistry.
Dr. Kate is passionate about helping patients feel confident about their smile and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. In her spare time, Dr. Kate enjoys cooking, staying active and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Caitlyn Colquhoun
Dr. Caitlyn Colquhoun was raised in Rothesay, N.B. She grew up playing a variety of sports all year round. She completed both her Bachelor of Science and her Master of Science at UNBSJ. Go Seawolves!
She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Dalhousie University in 2016. She was happy to return home to New Brunswick with her husband Alexander to start her dental career.
Caitlyn is passionate about helping her community and is currently starting a dental clinic at Outflow, the men’s homeless shelter in Saint John. She also enjoys pediatric dentistry and loves making first appointments a positive, fun experience.
In her spare time, Caitlyn enjoys playing soccer, camping and snuggling her two precious cats, Simba and Nala.
Stacy Barrett, hygienist
Stacy, a Saint John native, is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick where she received a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction. She has been a practicing registered dental hygienist since 2001 after graduating Dalhousie University where she received her dental hygiene diploma with honours.
Stacy resides in Hampton, N.B. with her husband Rob and their two children. Besides providing the best dental hygiene care to her patients, Stacy enjoys traveling, hiking, and volunteering in her community. Stacy, along with the team at Bayside Dental Clinic would love to welcome you and work with you to achieve a healthy smile.
Patricia White, hygienist
Patricia graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She continued her education at Dalhousie University and in 1995 received a dental hygiene diploma. Patricia was a member of Bayside Dental Clinic when it was owned by her father prior to 2002. Patricia lives in Rothesay with her husband Tom, children, Sam and Allie, and their pug Oscar.

Deedee McClain, hygienist
Deedee has practiced dental hygiene since 1982 and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill since 1988 where she received a Master of Science degree in dental hygiene education. She taught dental hygiene in the United States for over 10 years and later served as the director of the Dental Hygiene/Dental Assisting program in the state of South Carolina.
She’s published several articles in dental journals, provided textbooks reviews for various dental hygiene/assisting publishing companies and has taught many continuing education courses for other dental professionals. In 1999, she was awarded the prestigious Governor's Professor of the Year Award by the State of South Carolina.
Originally from the State of North Carolina, she moved to Saint John, N.B. in 2001. Dee is a valued member of the Bayside Dental Clinic team since 2005.
Courtney Fleury, hygienist
Courtney grew up on the outskirts of Hampton, New Brunswick and graduated from Hampton High School in 2006. She attended Oulton College in Moncton, N.B. and graduated as a registered dental hygienist in 2009.
"I feel so lucky to work in such a positive and fun atmosphere. We all take such great pride in caring for our patients every day. I love building a relationship with people and helping them to feel good about themselves," Courtney Fleury.
When Courtney isn't working she loves gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with her family, including her two small boys.
Kim Connell, dental assistant
Kim brings many years of experience as a certified level II dental assistant after graduating from Holland College in 1998. She has been with Bayside Dental Clinic since it first opened in 2002.
One of the many things that she enjoys most about dentistry is seeing how changing a patient’s smile transforms their lives.
She lives in Saint John with her husband David and daughter Jocelyn and many cats. She in known at the office as the "crazy cat lady" and, if prompted, she will show you numerous pictures of them.
Cassandra Hewey, dental assistant
Cass was born and raised in St. Martins by the sea! After attending UNB she enrolled in the Dental Assisting Program at Holland College and began Bayside Dental Clinic in 2009.
"I find it very rewarding assisting Dr. David Clifford (Dr. Dave) to improve people's smiles and give them new confidence. I enjoy working in a busy dental office as there is always something different and interesting taking place,” Cassandra Hewey.
Cassandra lives in Saint John with her husband Derek and their children Avery and James. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, hiking and exercising.
Serena Grimmer, receptionist/dental assistant
Serena graduated as a certified level II dental assistant from the Dental Assistants College of Saint John in 2011. She has been a part of our team since 2017 and is currently our office manager. Her duty is to ensure the clinic is running smoothly and to assist the entire team to maximize clinic efficiency.
“I enjoy spending time with my daughter, especially surrounded by nature. I also enjoy live music and I go to as many concerts as possible,” Serena Grimmer.
Heather Darrah, dental assistant/receptionist
After graduating from Leo Hayes High School in Fredericton, Heather studied level II dental assisting in Saint John and obtained her diploma from the Dental Assisting Academy in 2006.
She enjoys working in a team environment and loves keeping busy in a fast paced office. Her favourite patients are children as she enjoys the challenge of making the dental office fun and finds it rewarding in educating them in proper oral care.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and trying to keep up with her two little boys.
Jane Ough, receptionist
Jane grew up in Saint John East and has 35 years’ experience as a dental receptionist. She is an integral member of the Bayside Dental Clinic team since 2002. Jane enjoys meeting and talking to our patients and welcoming them to our dental family.
In her spare time, she travels with her husband Wayne to visit their children and grandchildren. She enjoys playing cards with her Saturday night mixer and bridge clubs. Besides being a wonderful cook, she lovingly knits many pairs of socks for everyone each year.
Diane Hewitt, account representative
Diane joined Bayside Dental Clinic in 2013 as a receptionist and is presently the accounting representative. She has 35 years of business experience and enjoys the challenge of maintaining all aspects of BDC's financial accounts, along with caring for staff.
Diane has many creative hobbies. She enjoys travelling, cooking and catering for family and friends with her husband Chris.
